CHITRAL: The Shuhada-e-Chitral Premier League Season 2, organized by the District Football Association (DFA) Lower Chitral, concluded yesterday at the Qashqar Sports Complex Chitral.
Commandant Chitral Scouts, Colonel Arsalan Abdul Majeed, was the chief guest at the final match. He met the players and lauded the DFA Lower Chitral for organizing a well-managed and exciting football tournament in Chitral.
On the occasion, DFA Lower Chitral President Haji Hussain Ahmad presented a commemorative shield to the Commandant Chitral Scouts.
The thrilling final was contested between Chumarkan Football Club and Ayun Football Club, in which Chumarkan FC clinched victory by 2–0.
Awards were distributed among the standout performers: Zahid Shah (Ayun FC) was declared Man of the Tournament, Hazrat Abbas (Chumarkan FC) Man of the Match, Asim Shiraz (Chumarkan FC) Top Scorer, Faham (Chumarkan FC) Best Goalkeeper, and Muhammad Hassan (Ayun FC) Emerging Player.
Prominent local figures and former football players attended the final and distributed prizes among the participants.
A total of 13 teams from across Chitral took part in the league, which also featured several renowned national-level guest players representing various teams.
