Fifteen militants killed, Two soldiers Martyred in multiple operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: In a series of successful intelligence-based operations, Security Forces eliminated fifteen Khwarij militants in three separate engagements across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province between April 25 and 26.

In Karak District, an operation targeting the reported presence of militants resulted in eight Khwarij being killed after a fierce exchange of fire. In a separate engagement in North Waziristan District, Security Forces neutralized four militants. However, during the intense firefight, two soldiers — Lance Naik Usman Mohmand, 28, of Charsadda District, and Sepoy Imran Khan, 26, of Kurram District — fought gallantly and embraced shahadat while defending the motherland.

Meanwhile, in the general area of Gomal Zam in South Waziristan District, three more Khwarij were killed in an encounter with Security Forces. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who were reportedly involved in numerous terrorist activities.

Sanitization operations are ongoing across the affected areas to eliminate any remaining threats, as the Security Forces of Pakistan reaffirm their unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country. The sacrifices of the brave soldiers further strengthen the nation’s resolve against this menace.

Earlier, during the night of April 23-24, 2025, Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bannu District, engaging militants in a fierce firefight. Six Khwarij were killed, while four others were injured. A comprehensive sanitization operation is underway in the district to ensure the area is completely cleared.

The Security Forces reiterated their determination to wipe out terrorism and maintain peace and stability across Pakistan.
