PESHAWAR: During the nights of April 25/26 and 26/27, 2025, Pakistan’s security forces detected the movement of a large group of terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District.
Demonstrating exceptional vigilance and operational readiness, own troops swiftly engaged the infiltrators. In a precise and skillful operation, all 54 terrorists were neutralized. A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the killed militants.
According to intelligence sources, the group was attempting to infiltrate at the behest of their foreign handlers, tasked with carrying out high-profile terrorist activities within Pakistan. The timing of the infiltration attempt, coinciding with India’s ongoing baseless accusations against Pakistan, points towards external efforts to destabilize the country. These actions by the terrorist group, Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK), amount to treason and betrayal against the state and its people.
The recent National Security Committee (NSC) meeting highlighted concerns that India’s strategic objective appears to be to divert Pakistan’s security forces from their successful counterterrorism efforts, thereby offering a breathing space to terrorist groups such as FAK, currently reeling under sustained military pressure.
The engagement at Hassan Khel marks the highest number of terrorists eliminated by Pakistan’s security forces in a single operation during the ongoing counterterrorism campaign. This decisive action has prevented a potential large-scale terrorist incident and reinforced the nation’s security.
Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to safeguard the country’s frontiers and eradicate the scourge of terrorism. Their courage and determination continue to secure major victories, demonstrating that Pakistan is steadily winning the war against terrorism.
