
RAWALPINDI: In a series of successful counterterrorism operations, Pakistan’s security forces neutralized 13 Khwarij in five separate incidents across the province, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Following intelligence reports of militant presence, security forces launched an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Khulachi, Dera Ismail Khan District. During the operation, troops engaged the hideout of the militants, killing five Khwarij, including the notorious Shah Gul, also known as Rohani.
In North Waziristan, two separate encounters took place in the general areas of Dosali and Tappi, where security forces engaged militants in an intense fire exchange. As a result, five more Khwarij were effectively neutralized.
Another encounter occurred in Lakki Marwat District, where two militants were eliminated in a swift operation. Meanwhile, in the general area of Bagh, Khyber District, one more Khwarij was taken down.
Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the slain militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist attacks targeting both security personnel and innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats, as Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.
