
PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa witnessed an unprecedented surge in tourism during Eidul Azha, with over 932,000 visitors flocking to scenic destinations across the province in just three days.
The Swat Valley emerged as the top attraction, drawing 288,424 domestic tourists and 63 international visitors to its popular spots, including Madyan, Bahrain, and nearby areas—further cementing its status as a favorite Eid holiday destination.
Other major tourist hubs also reported high footfall:
- Galiyat: 177,000 tourists
- Naran-Kaghan: 168,000 tourists
- Malam Jabba: 160,000 tourists
- Dir Upper: 85,000 tourists
- Chitral: 18000 plus tourists
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur and Tourism Advisor Zahid Chanzeb, the province showcased its readiness to host large-scale tourism with modern facilities and high standards of service.
Notably, significant tourist activity was also reported in the merged districts of Khyber and Bajaur, reflecting emerging trends in regional tourism development.
