RAWALPINDI: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan District, five militants, including their ringleader, were neutralized. The operation targeted the presence of insurgents identified as khwarij.
According to official reports, during the operation, the security forces effectively engaged the militants’ location, resulting in the elimination of five individuals, including Shafiullah, also known as Shafi, a prominent leader of the group. Shafiullah had been a key figure in orchestrating terrorist activities against security forces and was involved in the targeted killing of innocent civilians.
In addition to neutralizing the threat, the forces recovered a cache of weapons and ammunition from the militants, further crippling their operational capabilities.
A comprehensive sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure that no remaining militants are left in the area. This operation underscores the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
