CHITRAL: The Lower Chitral district administration has achieved another milestone in promoting healthy activities among youth and providing quality sports facilities by formally inaugurating a new cricket ground in Baradam Ashrait in Drosh tehsil.
The inauguration is part of the district-wide initiative to construct and rehabilitate 50 playgrounds.
During the opening ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Rao Hashim Azeem played cricket with local children to encourage them.
He reaffirmed his commitment that efforts will continue to enhance the abilities of young people and engage them in positive and productive activities.
He said that sports play a vital role in promoting discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
Local elders and players welcomed the establishment of the cricket ground and expressed gratitude to the district administration.
