ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from Chitral, Abdul Latif, surrendered before the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad on Friday, after which he was taken into custody by the police.
According to details, the Anti-Terrorism Court had earlier convicted Abdul Latif along with other party leaders and sentenced them to ten years in prison.
Challenging the verdict, Abdul Latif had filed an appeal in the Peshawar High Court.
However, the appeal was dismissed in recent days, and the Supreme Court directed him to present himself before the relevant forum, leading to his surrender.
