Nine militants killed in counter-terror operations in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR- Security forces conducted two separate counterterror operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on March 14-15, eliminating nine militants, according to official sources.

Acting on intelligence reports, security forces launched an operation in Mohmand District, where troops effectively targeted militant positions, killing seven insurgents. During the intense exchange of fire, two soldiers—Havildar Muhammad Zahid (37) from Malakand and Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah (26) from Chitral—fought valiantly before making the ultimate sacrifice.

In a separate encounter in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan District, security personnel engaged in combat with militants, neutralizing two more fighters.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain insurgents, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities. Security forces continue search and clearance operations in the region, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
