Bannu Cantt attack sparks concerns over Foreign involvement in terrorism

ٰISLAMABAD: The recent attack in Bannu Cantt has intensified concerns over foreign interference in terrorism within Pakistan, with emerging evidence pointing towards external coordination.

Reports indicate that minutes before the attack, an Indian intelligence-linked account allegedly posted about the incident, raising suspicions of prior knowledge and possible involvement. Investigations suggest that Indian operatives, in collaboration with elements in Afghanistan, are engaged in destabilising activities against Pakistan.

The incident has also reignited debates on the misuse of social media platforms such as X, with calls for stricter regulations to curb anti-Pakistan propaganda propagated by both internal and external elements.

Furthermore, there is growing demand for tighter controls on Afghan refugees’ movement and business activities within Pakistan to enhance national security.
